The Sagrada Família is Barcelona's most-visited paid attraction and one of the most recognizable buildings in the world, drawing millions of visitors a year to see Antoni Gaudí's still-unfinished basilica.

Book timed-entry tickets in advance

Sagrada Família uses timed-entry ticketing, and entry slots — especially in summer — can sell out days or weeks ahead. Booking directly through the basilica's official ticketing channel is the most reliable way to secure a specific time and avoid the walk-up queue.

Tower access is a separate, limited-capacity ticket

Access to the Nativity or Passion towers is sold as an upgrade with its own limited capacity and involves a narrow spiral staircase on the way down — it is not included in standard admission and is worth booking early if it matters to your visit.

Go early or late for softer light

The basilica's stained-glass windows are famous for flooding the interior with color; the effect is strongest in direct morning or late-afternoon sun, so an early or end-of-day visit tends to be more dramatic than midday.
