The Eiffel Tower's first floor includes a glass floor section that lets visitors look straight down toward the ground below — a popular photo stop that was added as part of a broader renovation of the lower levels.

What else is on the first floor

Alongside the glass floor, the first floor has exhibition space covering the tower's history and construction, a small pavilion area, and views out across the surrounding gardens.

Not for everyone

The glass floor is optional to walk on — visitors uncomfortable with heights can bypass it via a surrounding walkway while still exploring the rest of the level.

Combine it with a lift ticket

The first floor is included with every ticket type, including the stairs-only option, so there's no need to upgrade just to see this feature.
